Dynamic vulnerability of ecological systems to climate changes across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China

چکیده
At present, climate change has brought huge challenges to vegetation and ecosystems. As the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) is a sensitive area of global change, dynamic assessment its ecological vulnerability very important. In order better quantify relative size QTP, this study starts from background characteristics process ecosystem, by fitting index net primary productivity (NPP) temperature, precipitation meteorological elements. The coefficients autocorrelation multiple linear regression are used construct an model three dimensions “exposure-sensitivity-elasticity” conduct vulnerability. Based on evaluation results, 2000 2015, ecologically fragile areas were mainly distributed in eastern central QTP. fragility western region showed obvious discontinuities, with high low vulnerabilities staggered. ecosystems forest, grassland, bare land have significant differences their showing clear positive correlation exposure, sensitivity, resilience, but terms contribution rates dimensions. performance relatively similar, relationship between balanced. longitude sample points greater impact dimensions, more than that temperature. This research provides theoretical support for plateau conservation security under influence climate.

Responses of Permafrost on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China, to Climate Change and Engineering Construction
Monitoring of permafrost along the Qinghai-Tibet (Xizang) Highway shows that there is a large difference in the response of permafrost to climate change and to engineering construction. The change in cold (,21.5uC) permafrost is greater than that in warm ($21.5uC) permafrost under the effect of climate change, while the cold permafrost is less sensitive to the disturbances from engineering acti...
متن کاملResponses of Bacterial Communities to Simulated Climate Changes in Alpine Meadow Soil of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
The soil microbial community plays an important role in terrestrial carbon and nitrogen cycling. However, microbial responses to climate warming or cooling remain poorly understood, limiting our ability to predict the consequences of future climate changes. To address this issue, it is critical to identify microbes sensitive to climate change and key driving factors shifting microbial communiti...
متن کاملResponses of permafrost to climate change and their environmental significance, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau
[1] In this paper we summarize recent research in geocryological studies carried out on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau that show responses of permafrost to climate change and their environmental implications. Long-term temperature measurements indicate that the lower altitudinal limit of permafrost has moved up by 25 m in the north during the last 30 years and between 50 and 80 m in the south over t...
متن کاملInformation System of the Wetlands on the Qinghai-tibet Plateau
This study establishes an information system of the wetlands and lakes on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. We sort up on the wetlands and use Visual Basic 6.0 for the management and development of MapObjects, and the ArcSDE pattern to place the spatial and attribute data into the Microsoft SQL Server relational integrated database. We demonstrate how this Wetland Information System, containing all th...
متن کاملMulti-Decadal Monitoring of Lake Level Changes in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau by the TOPEX/Poseidon-Family Altimeters: Climate Implication
Lake levels in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) provide valuable records for climate change studies. We use two decades of measurements (January 1993–December 2014) from the TOPEX/Poseidon (T/P)-family satellite altimeters (T/P, Jason-1 and -2) to detect lake level variations at 23 lakes along their repeat ground tracks every 10 days. We employ an optimal processing technique to obtain quality m...
